WENLOCK ROAD GETS UNDERWAY

Our 2024 project film 'Wenlock Road' has officially gotten underway with the 1st day of filming over and the scene 'in the can'

Scene 19 is an emotional scene that sees 'our lad, George' leaving home and catching the early train to Plymouth where he will enter training for the Royal Navy.

The scene was shot at the wonderful Stanhope Railway Station that is part of the Weardale Railway & Auckland Project. The team at the Station were fabulous and provided tea and coffee as well as some of their own staff who gave up their day to join us as drivers, guards, and ticket hall staff.

The railway also provided us with the wonderful 1950's Diesel Unit (above) which help us enormously in getting the feel, the period and the emotion out of the scene; we cannot thank them enough for their support in making this scene so dynamic

Next we move to another location to shoot the other scenes so stay with us and we will keep you up to date with the news from the set and green rooms.

in the mean time, here's Kevin playing his role as the Station Master.
