Wenlock Road is our latest project for 2024. A feature length, yes we did say feature length' film set in the 1970s.
Wenlock Road is set in the mid 1970's and tells the story of one young lads desire to break free from the chains of his home life and fulfil his ambition to join the Royal Navy and see the world.
The film will be filmed in black and white to give the portrayal of the era, however there will be two occasions, the lead in, and lead out, that will be in filmed in full colour and once you see the final production, the reasoning behind this will be obvious to all.
Written and directed by George Heron, the story is an autobiographical account of growing up on the bread line & surviving in the streets of South Shields.
Supported by local business, TRUSTMARK ROOFING & BUILDING and with guest directors from TV's soaps, the film will be premiered in The Customs House South Shields in coming months and is a film that you should not miss.
